Special golfing reports brought to you by Golfing Excellence
Our golfing reports are practical being based on coaching golfers of all skill levels where it really counts, on-course.
As a golf mind coach and a behavioural modeller Roderick Fraser naturally coached golfers on-course over 9 or 18 holes from the beginning. A practice area or on a driving range is not where the game is.
This website and the following golfing reports are the result of two years of extensive research with golfers, PGA golf professionals, in golf clubs, with greenkeepers, physiology specialists and researching golfing literature.
A new paradigm for golf coaching is needed
We immeditately found some interesting findings:
- Most golf professionals do not know how to coach.
- The golf mind game is misunderstood and neglected.
- There is an obsession with the half hour quick fix lessons.
- Most golfers don't know what they are doing when it comes to choosing golf clubs or golf balls.
- There is a misguided focus on trying to hit the ball.
- The focus on swing technique is all out of proportion.
- Golf physiology, fitness and stretching is paid lip service.
Understanding and applying some basic fundamentals is the foundation of being able to play good, consistent golf for the rest of your life. Some would say it is a new paradigm.
Maybe it is a good old fashioned paradigm that simply got lost because someone said in the 80's it's all about swing technique.
Education is the key!
This is what our golfing reports offer. Hands on, practical education and strategies for you to apply.
Golf is based on 5 golf fundamentals. Mind, body, skill, equipment and quality practice.
If you are fortunate enough to have some talent that’s awesome, imagine how good you could be in working on all 5 areas of your game.
You need to learn about them all, in this order of importance.
Golf is definitely not about how hard you hit the ball.
Our mind, our body, our emotions, thoughts and decisions all shape our golf game. Far more than most people realise or care to think about.
Not many people know how our mind and body works. The number of golf professionals who take this into account when teaching a golf lesson seems to be minimal.
Some of the things we will cover in our future golfing reports are: - How to play with confidence
- Learn how to overcome your fears
- Cure the yips forever
